Soudaseal® FR has been thoroughly tested in New Zealand while exposed to all weather and fire conditions. You can rest assured this product will last the distance and perform as it should in our unique climate.

Provides a fire rated seal over expansion and connection joints in industrial, commercial, public and high-density residential builds. Tested to meet AS 1530.4 standards on solid concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, brick, block and plaster-board walls. Suitable for internal and external applications.

Fire Resistance Level

The fire resistance level (FRL) describes how a building material or element performs in accordance with AS 1530.4.

The FRL is expressed as three numbers which gives the time (in minutes) for which each of three criteria – structural adequacy, integrity and insulation – are satisfied.

Examples of FRLs are:

60/60/30
This indicates structural adequacy is 60 minutes, integrity is 60 minutes, and insulation is 30 minutes.

30/-/-
This indicates structural adequacy is 30 minutes but there is no resistance level for integrity or insulation.

Fire-Rated Testing Findings

When tested on 10mm-40mm wide joint configurations, Soudaseal® FR produced the following fire resistance level (FRL) results:

Testing Summary

Soudaseal® FR meets AS 1530.4 (2014) requirements for New Zealand and Australia.
Soudaseal® FR provides passive fire protection in ‘mass’ concrete panels 120mm- 200mm thick (see prior testing).
Soudaseal® FR provides passive fire protection for linear joints that are 10mm-40mm wide when constructed in accordance with the test report.
