Description:
The Soudal Expanding Foam Cleaner is a specialised solvent-based cleaning agent designed to maintain the performance of your professional application tools. Without proper cleaning, leftover polyurethane foam will harden inside the valves and barrel of your equipment, rendering it unusable. This high-pressure aerosol is the most effective way to dissolve uncured foam and ensure your toolkit is ready for the next job.
This cleaner is specifically formulated to work with the Soudal Gun Grade Foam Gun. By flushing the gun immediately after removing a can of Soudal Pro Expanding Foam (Gun Grade), you prevent the internal blockages that lead to costly replacements. Why Choose Soudal Expanding Foam Cleaner?
In the New Zealand building industry, tool longevity is key to a profitable project. Our cleaner provides a dual-action solution that manages both internal and external maintenance.
-
High-Pressure Cleaning: The powerful aerosol spray forces the solvent through the tightest internal valves, dissolving wet foam before it has a chance to set.
-
Dual-Purpose Design: Each can comes with a spray nozzle for manual cleaning of the gun’s exterior and a threaded valve that screws directly onto the foam gun for internal flushing.
-
Cost-Saving Maintenance: A single can of cleaner can save multiple foam guns from being thrown away. It is an essential investment for any builder or serious DIYer.
-
Universal Solvent: Beyond just cleaning tools, this formula is excellent for removing wet foam spills from clothes, window frames, and flooring without damaging the substrate.

FAQs
Can this cleaner remove dried, hardened foam?
No, this solvent is only effective on wet, uncured foam. Once polyurethane foam has fully hardened, it becomes chemically resistant. At that stage, you will need to remove it mechanically by carefully scraping or sanding the surface.
How often should I clean my foam gun?
You should clean your gun every time you remove a canister of Soudal Pro Expanding Foam. If you are leaving a partially used can attached to the gun for a day or two, you don’t need to flush it, provided the flow control screw is tightened fully.
Is this cleaner safe for all surfaces?
While safe for most metals and many plastics, this solvent is very strong. It may damage painted surfaces, certain plastics, or delicate finishes. Always test a small, hidden area first if you are using it to clean a spill off a finished surface.
